With Loop during GLOW 2018, a collaboration between Cheops and Lucid (study associations from the University of Technology Eindhoven), Team IGNITE was born. From this collaboration, a second project emerged with the exhibition of Hypar in 2019. IGNITE’s return in 2021 with Ballroom, enhanced social cohesion after a period of social distancing due to the pandemic. After this success, the extracurricular collective developed into an official TU/e student team, resulting in 3 projects exhibited at GLOW 2022. With IGNITE’s recent transition to focus on a broader application area of light to achieve social impact, the principles of interactivity, sustainability and innovation serve as the starting points for projects to come.
